NERA
Our flagship EVM-compatible blockchain engineered for rapid, secure, and scalable application deployment
Onyx Studios is a small, private technical studio. We design and ship blockchain, AI, and security systems for a select group of partners. Most engagements come through introduction. In the background, three studio projects we're building because we believe the problems deserve better answers.
One studio, three deep specialisations, engaged from architecture through production support.
Custom EVM-compatible L1s and L2s built around your throughput and governance requirements. Hot-swappable consensus, native cross-chain bridges, and the tooling teams actually use.
Cross-chain AI oracles that ship richer-than-prices data, plus autonomous on-chain agents that act on it. Built for DeFi, supply chain, and compliance workloads.
A 250-point smart contract audit framework refined across $68M+ in value secured during the team's prior DeFi work. We audit our own contract templates before yours ever ship.
What's active right now, paired with what the team has shipped in prior work. No invented numbers.
The studio runs on two parallel tracks at once.
The first is partner engagements. Quiet, by introduction, and usually before the press release. We take a small number each quarter, working with teams who need senior judgment rather than headcount, across four disciplines: blockchain infrastructure, Web3 application development, AI integration, and smart contract audits. Most of what we do for partners stays anonymous by their request. We can't name names. What we can name are the disciplines and the rigor.
The second is studio projects. The things we build because the question they answer deserves a better answer than what exists. NERA, My Bridge, and kodiiWeb each ship with a thesis attached: the question being tested, the design decisions that follow, and what would prove the thesis wrong. The studio projects don't subsidize the partner work. They sit alongside it as our own R&D.
We don't take every engagement. Most introductions come through someone who's worked with us. We'll happily say no if it's the wrong fit.
No invented numbers. The numbers we cite are attributable: $68M+ secured across the team's prior DeFi work, zero exploits in shipped code, 250+ points in our internal security framework.
By introduction, mostly. If the work resonates, the right next step is a conversation. We respond within 24 hours and tell you plainly whether we're the right fit.
We take a small number of engagements each quarter. Enterprises shipping blockchain infrastructure, teams integrating AI, founders who want it audited from day one.
